| A future beyond the efforts, the love of live performance to deliver to the world
ERINA × SAKURA × AKANE × REINA × RIO × RIO × AKO
Ikuta : In our first tour with the new lineup member, the individual changes is often felt. It's quite rare to have an interview with many members at once, so how about having the members next to each other say in turn what points they have grown this time? Oda is always in full Oda-ness, but I was impressed by her gentle expression when she sang with the junior members.
Oda : I was thrilled by how Rio-chan completely owned her high note's parts in "Jounetsu no Kiss wo Hitotsu" in the spring tour.
Kitagawa : Rairi's facial expressions, which is her strong point, were further refined, and her singing and dancing had grown at an amazing speed, giving her an outstanding presence on stage.
Sakurai : Yokoyama-san's way of getting into the music is wonderful. I was inspired whan I watched her up close.
Yokoyama : I think Getta had a lot to learn and it was hard work, but she was always very determined, and she showed a new side of herself this time more than any other member!
Yumigeta : Haga-san is very good at using different expressions to suit different songs. I was very impressed to see her performance at a closer distance during the tour.
Haga : I felt Ikuta-san's growth at ...
Everyone : (Bursts out laughing)
Ikuta : Keep on saying it (laughs)!
Haga : I'm sure she was anxious about it, but she did her job as a leader perfectly. The way Ikuta-san weaved her emotions and information about the members into her speech was very Ikuta-san-like, and her handspring during the medley was very cool!
Yokoyama : I struggled a lot with the new song assignments, but the members who were good at singing, regardless of seniority or juniority, helped me overcome the difficulties. The tour will lasted about two and a half months, I think the best part of the tour was to show how I have grown, but in a more personnal way, I wanted to show 100 points from the very first day. So it's simply a matter of practice!
Kitagawa : It's important to practice repeatedly.
Ikuta : I had a lot of work with both 17th generation members, so I was reminded of the importance of communication. And my personal MVP was the 15th generation members. I think it was very hard for them to be assigned important singing parts, but all three of them did their best.
Kitagawa : Thank you very much. Whenever I got stuck, I consulted with the staff. I think it was significant that I practiced based on the feedback I received there.
Oda : As Yokoyama and Kitagawa said, in the end there’s only practice. I think it’s also very important for each of us to spend time to all the trials that one may face.
Sakurai : On our last concert at Nippon Budokan, we performed a new song. The image of the song is "SAIkiyou" - "the strongest" as the title implies. It’s a catchy song that shows the coolness that can only be achieved by the current 13 members.
Oda : The other song writte by Tsunku♂-san entitled "Nandaka Sentimental na Toki no Uta" is a new type o sond that we never had before. We were also surprised because we didn't expect such a mature song at this time when we have more fresh members (laughs).
Yumigeta : I have dreams and hopes for the world, so I still don't understand the feelings of an adult as described in the lyrics, but becoming an adult isn't a bad thing, and I would like to gradually understand these.
Oda : Tsunku♂-san's lyrics often make feel like we can relate to them one day, so I'm sure such that day will suddenly come!
Ikuta : We have a tour coming up this fall, that will be the culmination of the group with this current 13 member lineup. Do you have any goals? I want to raise the group's profile even more. I want to create opportunities for new people to get to know us.
Sakurai : The other day, we did a performance at the Esconfield HOKKAIDO, and the feedbacks from newcomers to the event were amazing.
Ikuta : That was cool, I also want to be viral with one of my picture took at an event~ (laughs)!
Haga : I hope to make a world tour happen in the not too distant future. What if we don't deliver Morning Musume。's music not only to Japan but also to the world? It's something I came to think lately.
