I work hard to manage my diet and strength training for doing the best performance.
I tend to get sick a lot, so I think I'm more careful about what I eat now. I used to eat mainly meat, thinking that as long as I ate protein I would be able to move around, but I didn't gain any muscle mass and got tired quickly. Then I changed my diet to mainly fish, which also contains a good amount of fat, and my fitness levels have improved. I also continue to do muscle training and I'm confident in my fitness! I'm a three-day fitness addict, but the only thing that keeps me going is my desire to give strong performance, which is at 100%. If I were a normal 21 year old girl, I would have given up long ago. But as long as I'm part of a group with a 25 years history, I'm absolutely determined to give good performances, I can't lose to members who are working so hard.
Diet is not about holding back. Even when I'm tired, I play with friends to change my mood, or go on my favorite football team's shops or matchs. Patience leads to regret, which in turn leads to stress, so it's important not to be patient. I don't know if I'm unique or not, but I often get comments from members that I'm funny. Morning Musume。used to have a strong impression in variety shows, so I want to polish my speaking skills so that I can be active in variety shows again. I also want to have more opportunities to communicate with fans. Fans are the ones who bring out my charms that I don't realise myself. That's why I want to hear more from them. I think there are people who have been following Morning Musume。longer than I have, so I want to ask them what kind of Morning Musume。they want to see in the future.
Q1. Which Morning Musume。song recharge your energy?
"Asu wo Tsukuru no wa Kimi" (明日を作るのは君). The lyrics are so impressive, I can perfectly relate to them. This song reminds me of Kaga (Kaede), who is always honest in her praise of me.
Q2. What entertainment and culture energises you?
My favourite band UNISON SQUARE GARDEN has a lot of positive songs. Among them, I'm listening to "Kimi wa tomodachi" (君はともだち) when I'm having a hard time.
